Watching movies is a favorite pass time of mine. I am constantly watching one after another and when a new one comes out in the theatre I am anxiously waiting to see it. Infact I cant wait till Take Me Home Tonight, Rango, and the new Fast and Furious movie, come out. Take Me Home Tonight is a comedy movie which from the commercials looks like a typical college party scene those kind of movies are always good and filled with laughs I cant wait to see it! Rango, is the cartoon movie starring Jonny Depp. I havent went to the theatres to see a cartoon since middle school however this one is deffinatly worth seeing. I love Jhonny Depp. (P.S. while were on the topic of Jhonny, I cant wait for the new Pirates movie either. Captian Jack Sparrow is the best role he will ever play) The fast and the Furious movie, I saw during the super bowl commercials and I was so excited I have loved the other ones and I think I am going to go see it with my little brother, its kind of a tradition, too bad we have so long to wait. As you can see from just those three movies, I like all different kinds, however, comedy and romance are probably my favorites. Im not too picky when it comes to actors/actresses but I love Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, Ben Affleck, and Adam Sandler so any movie with them in it is a must see. Infact, one of the best movies I have seen recently was starring Ben Affleck and it was about bank robers in Charlestown. It was so intense and never dragged on it was great!  However, I can honestly say that I do not have a favorite movie, this is probably due to the fact that I have seen so many. I feel as if I have seen all the popular ones of my time and there are so many good ones that it is hard to choose. But I will list a few that I like.
13 going on 30, The longest Yard, Bench Warmers, Step Brothers, Dare Devil, Serendipity, Forrest Gump, Sweet Home Alabama, The Hangover, The last house on the left, Case 39, National Treasure, and Saving Private Ryan just to list a few.

I would like to think that the things I enjoy doing are not just a waste of my time but when I think about it some of them probably are. For instance the hours I spend on facebook creeping peoples profiles and reading my wall liking status's poking people and chatting it up are not going to have any relavance to the rest of my life. although facebook is entertaining it is distracting and a complete waste of time. Another common pass time for me is watching tv and movies, this is both a waste of time and money when you go to the movie theatre you walk in when its light outside and when you come back out its dark and your out eight dollars or more your back hurts from the uncomfortable chairs and you feel greasy from the popcorn that you ate. When I watch things on tv I tend to watch series or marathons these not only take away from an hour or two of my life but weeks and months as well.. they get you hooked and soon enough that is what you are scheduling your life around. However I also enjoy dance and cheerleading and I do not believe that these are a waste of time because they keep me in shape out of trouble and involved in the school. They are a major part of my life and I believe that in a way they have made me into the person that I am today. if only everything I did could be productive and fun.
Sibling... where to start. Ive got two of them one older and one younger I guess I could tell you how much I love and adore them and how id be lost with out them or even how they keep me sane and make me the person that I am todaybut I wont because thats mushy and no one wants to hear that also because the flip side is much more interesting. growing up with sibling we all know that its tough but Im not sure that anyone has had it as rough as me. My sister although sweet and innocent most of the time has an extremly dark side. She is the oldest and she doesnt take that title lightly... "but im the oldest" is a commonly used phrase in our house and for her it works like magic. She can get away with anthing and if she doesnt she screams until she does. She has the loudest blood hurdeling scream i have ever heard and she wont shut up until she gets what she wants. Oh and another terrible thing she honestly cannot take a joke. She holds grudges and she gets in a bad mood super easily. She is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and I guess you could say that we have had more than our fair share of fights. We fight over all kinds of things stealing each others clothes telling each others secrets.. you know stupid girly stuff. However compared to my younger brother this is nothing. We have fist fights all the time because everytime we are angry at eachother there are no words it goes straight to blows. You would be suprised how fast he can run and how high pitched his scream is. Through our fights I have learned to duck juke and throw a pretty mean right hook. With my age advantage i usually walk out with a win but I have had a black eye or two in my life time. However to my advantage he is not allowed to hit a girl and will get grounded for hitting me too hard so its a win win situation for me. i guess you could say that sibling are both a blessing and a curse.

This week we were getting back into the routine after a long three day weekend. It was by no means easy. I was extremly tired and basically dragged myself through the school day, next week should be much easier, but who knows school is school after all. In english class we went over grammar I almost wanted to cry when Mr. Potter handed out the packets i hate the sound of all that paper hitting my desk. It was not a fun unit but it wasnt too bad. It was easy after it was dummed down for us and the crazy english words were turned into a language that we could all understand. I am done that the unit is over I got a 32/36 on my quiz so I think I have a good enough understanding on it. We also talked about the importance of blogs. If we dont do them then they can cause us to fail. I dont like this policy because I dont feel like I am learning anything from blogging I am simply writing a diary. That shouldnt be effecting my grade in english because everyone knows how to write unformally we do it everyday of our lives on facebook. However I dont want to fail so I will do my blogs anyways. This week we were supposed to write about some of our favorite cartoons a few of my all time favorites would have to be powerpuff girls pokemon and rugrats. I would spend hours infront of the tv watching them when i was little.

This week was an interesting one for me. On Monday we had a two hour delay, so it went by very fast. Tuesday, I went to Lincoln Elementry for a Spanish project so I missed seventh and eighth period. Wednesday, I wasnt at school for half a day because I had an eye appointment in the morning and a dentist appointment in the afternoon. Thursday was hard because I had three tests one presentation and alot of homework due... I hate how teachers try to cram in so much work the week before break. Lasty on Firday  I got to see holiday marathon. I just thought that I would give you a quick run through on my week but now its time to get specific. In english class we read a few short mystery and suspense stories. The first story was about a phyco who escaped from a mental hospital and an old lady with no one except her dog. When the woman heard a dripping noise she went to investigate and before she left the room her "dog" licked her hand. However, she found that the dripping noise was a puddle of blood coming from the head of her beloved dog. It turns out that it wasnt the dog who licked her hand it was the mental escape patient. The next story was about a man who was looking for a place to stay. He came across a small pleasent bed and breakfast. He thought it was perfect it was cheap quiet and cozy however he started to change his mind when the host starting acting extremely strange. This began to worry the man and he got an eerie feeling about the place and started looking around. After scoping out the place he realized the guest book only had two other names in it, name he had seen before in the paper. The two previous visitors had disappeared and he knew that he was going to be next. The last story was about a magician named the great armando. he claimed that he could do anything however he was worried when the corrupt police officer gaffed his straight jacket. He made his wife, the love of Armando's life, sew finger traps in it so it was impossible to escape. Even though Armando didnt think he would be able to do it he went through with it he was submurged under water and never came out... or so it seemed. Armando's assistant later saw Armando and the woman he loved, it turns out that they ended up getting married and changing their identitys and they lived happily ever after. To finish of the week we watched the illusionist, it was a very good movie.

This week in class we talked about the gay/lesbian community. My group discussed families with gay parents. In our article there was a lesbian couple who had two kids. The couple believed that they were a family just like another because love is what makes a family. However, many others did not agree with this and the couple often times were stared at and talked about in a negative way. When we talked about this as a class we came to an agreement that gay/lesbian couples should be able to have/adopt children just as anyone else. However, they must be willing to deal with things such as this and teach their children to deal accordingly. Even though this may not be a normal situation for the child we thought that loving parents are suitable parents none the less. The other groups talked about gay/lesbian people in schools, churches, and the military. When we talked about gay/lesbian individuals in schools we thought that it was terrible how they are discriminated against and that if there is a situation where this is happening then it should be dealt with just as any other form of harassment would be. In most cases this means expulsion or other serious disciplinary actions. When we talked about gay/lesbian people in the military the don’t ask don’t tell policy came up. We believe that this policy is wrong because it makes it so people with gay/lesbian orientation cannot express themselves as they are and they are expected to lie, everyone should be able to be themselves. Although none of us agreed with this policy we could not come up with a better one, we only hope that one day there will have to be no policy at all and that everyone can accept one another for who they are. The last group talked about gay/lesbian people in churches. The one major problem that people have with this is that in the bible it says that a man shall not lie with another man and vise versa for woman. However, we brought to attention that the bible states that man shouldn’t lie cheat or steal as well and many who do so still go to church and are accepted. This made us believe that gays/lesbians shouldn’t be turned away if none of the others are because this makes it unfair if a rule applies to one it should be applied to all. All and all everyone should be loved and accepted for who they are and everyone should be seen as equal.

Thus week in class we have been doing in class readings and class discussions. First we read about Japanese American Internment Camps. The leading question of that discussion was weather or not the Internment Camps should be compared to the Concentration Camps of the Holocaust. In my opinion even though they have their similarities they should not be compared. I think this because the Concentration Camps were much worse, they were used to exterminate a whole race of people for no certian reason other than Hitler and his followers didnt believe that they should be able to live. They were sent to gas chambers to die if they were young children or were too old and they were shot if they didnt pass inspection. The living conditions were terrible and depressing and if they didnt die from sickness it was likley that they would die from starvation. However, the Internment camps were to separate the Japanese from American society to protect them. They were able to bring few belongings and keep them, the living conditions were not well and neither was the amount of food but it was nothing compared to the concentration camps. The next thing that we discussed was the topic of Gay rights. We talked about their role in society such as in a family at school and in the military and summarized it in groups to share next week.
